The members of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) do everything with conviction, commitment and an infectious enthusiasm!  All these attributes were present at WCR New Member Orientation and Social Mixer held at Las Casuelas Nuevas in Rancho Mirage on August 17, 2011. 

New members were given an overview of the benefits of being involved with the Women’s Council of Realtors, including the fact that WCR members, on average, earn 40% more than non-WCR members.  And, that is only one of the many benefits of becoming involved with WCR.  Curious…..give me a call at 760-844-2000 and I will whet your appetite even more.  
 
Immediately following the New Member Orientation, members and friends of WCR joined in for food, fun and an informative presentation by Jonny Weston – Director of Community Relations from the Palm Springs Desert Resort Communities Visitors Authority (CVA).    The discussion centered on the impact of travel and tourism to our Coachella Valley and steps the CVA is taking to promote the Palms Springs Desert Resorts as a top of mind destination for future corporate and vacation travel.  Jonny and the entire CVA understand the economic impact of having visitors choose the Palm Springs area as a destination versus our competitive cities of Las Vegas and Phoenix.  We, as Realtors, know that once people visit the area on a vacation, they fall in love and want to buy a vacation getaway boosting our Real Estate economy.  If you need further information on the CVA, check them out at www.palmspringsusa.com.
